Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Select type of insulation required. Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools. Supervise other workers. Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers. Estimate costs and materials. Assemble, erect and dismantle scaffolding, rigging and hoisting equipment. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth.
