Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials. Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products. Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators or other metal workers. Clean work area. Read blueprints and drawings. Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools. Read and interpret work orders. Load and unload vehicles using forklift or dolly. Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout plant manually . Welding techniques: MIG. TIG. Flux core arc welding (FCAW). Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Team player. Experience: 5 years or more.
