Job details
Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Perform minor repairs and adjustments to equipment. Push carts, trucks or cans of fibres from one work area to another. Operate a variety of machines to bleach, dye, coat or finish fabric, thread, yarn or other textile products. Notify supervisor or mechanic of equipment malfunctions. Examine products for defects to ensure adherence to quality standards. Clean machines and immediate work areas. Operate and feed a variety of machines. Set up, maintain and make minor repairs to machinery. Assist machine operators and other textile workers as required. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colours. Attention to detail. Manual dexterity. Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Team player.
