<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>Job description:</p><p><strong>Position</strong> - Cement Finisher (1 vacancy)</p><p>Nes Crete Canada Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cement Finisher to join our Stratford construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring smooth and durable results across various projects.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities and Duties include</strong>:</p><p>The position will include working with materials such as forming and concrete materials with duties that include:</p><p>• Ensure concrete formwork is secure and proper prior to concrete placement</p><p>• Vibrate concrete to specifications</p><p>• Position the concrete to the desired grade and shape</p><p>• Fill in voids and finish the concrete surface with hand tools</p><p>• Operate concrete finishing and cutting machines</p><p>• Apply concrete surface hardeners and curing compounds</p><p>• Detailed installation of concrete reinforcing</p><p>• Forming and installation of fixtures</p><p>• Repair damaged concrete sections</p><p>• Set up of concrete machine line and grade</p><p>• Read and follow drawings and specifications</p><p><strong>Job Skills Required</strong>:</p><p>• 3 years of experience in rebar installation, concrete forming, and finishing concrete</p><p>• At least 3 years of experience in concrete finishing techniques, as well as proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and reading drawings</p><p><strong>Hours</strong>: 40 hours per week + overtime</p><p><strong>Wage</strong>: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour (based on experience in industry)</p><p><strong>Overtime</strong>: Paid at time and one half after 44 hours per week, Paid biweekly</p><p><strong>Job location</strong>: 5140 Line 34, RR #5, Stratford, Ontario Canada and various client sites throughout Canada</p><p><strong>Language of Work</strong>: English</p><p><strong>Additional information Work conditions and physical capabilities</strong></p><ul><li>Physically demanding</li><li>Handling heavy loads</li><li>Bending, crouching, kneeling</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Standing for extended periods</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits Other benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Learning/training paid by employer</li><li>Team building opportunities</li><li>Transportation provided by employer</li><li>Parking available</li></ul><p><strong>Candidates may apply via email</strong></p><p>Nes Crete Canada Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and welcomes all applicants who consider themselves qualified. <strong>Please note that only candidates being invited to interview will be contacted, no agencies and no telephone calls please.</strong></p><p>Job Type: Permanent</p><p>Benefits:</p><ul><li>On-site parking</li></ul><p> </p><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>Concrete finishing: 3 years (required)</li></ul><p> </p><p>Work Location: On the road</p></div></div>- Location Stratford, ON
