<p>Senior iOS Mobile Developer – Backbase About Aequilibrium Aequilibrium is a Canadian technology consulting and professional services company helping financial institutions create exceptional digital experiences.</p><p>We partner with leading banks, credit unions, and enterprise organizations to deliver innovative digital banking solutions.</p><p>We are looking for a Senior iOS Mobile Developer with Backbase experience to join our team and help build and enhance digital banking applications for our financial services clients.</p><p>While Aequilibrium is a Canadian company, we are a fully remote organization and welcome candidates throughout the Americas.</p><p>Who You Are Passionate about building high-quality mobile applications and delivering exceptional user experiences.</p><p>Comfortable working directly with clients and stakeholders in a consultative environment.</p><p>Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to quality and detail.</p><p>A strong collaborator who enjoys working with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, and client teams.</p><p>Committed to writing clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.</p><p>Experienced with Agile software development methodologies and continuous improvement.</p><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</p><p>Familiar with modern software development practices, automation, CI/CD, and code review processes.</p><p>Responsibilities Develop, customize, and maintain native iOS applications built on the Backbase Digital Banking Platform.</p><p>Extend and integrate Backbase mobile components to meet client-specific requirements.</p><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-friendly banking solutions.</p><p>Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and release planning.</p><p>Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while maintaining high application performance and reliability.</p><p>Work directly with clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.</p><p>Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.</p><p>Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.</p><p>Strong proficiency with Swift and UIKit.</p><p>Hands-on experience extending, integrating, and customizing the Backbase Digital Banking Platform.</p><p>Experience delivering digital banking solutions for credit unions, banks, or other financial institutions.</p><p>Experience working in a professional services, consulting, or client-facing environment.</p><p>Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modern mobile development patterns.</p><p>Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.</p><p>Experience with reactive programming using Combine and/or RxSwift.</p><p>Experience creating automated unit tests and maintaining high code quality standards.</p><p>Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and mobile release processes.</p><p>Experience publishing and maintaining applications in the Apple App Store.</p><p>Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.</p><p>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.</p><p>Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience with Backbase Mobile SDKs, Widgets, and Customer Experience Platform (CXP).</p><p>Experience supporting white-label banking applications.</p><p>Experience working with Canadian credit unions.</p><p>Experience with Bitrise, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools.</p><p>Experience mentoring developers and participating in technical leadership activities.</p><p>Location This is a 100% remote full-time position open to candidates throughout the Americas.</p><p>Candidates located outside Canada will work as independent contractors.</p><p>Compensation CAD $90,000 – $130,000 annually for Canadian employees, depending on experience and location.</p- Location Vancouver, BC
