*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated and organized Kennel Manager to oversee daily operations at our animal care facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the well-being of our animals, maintain a clean and safe environment, and provide exceptional customer service to pet owners. This role requires a responsible individual with strong leadership skills and a strong knowledge of dog care and dog first aid. *Duties* * Supervise daily kennel operations, including feeding, cleaning, and exercising animals * Manage staff schedules and delegate tasks effectively * Ensure all animals are cared for according to established protocols * Assess dog injuries and treat appropriately on site and know when to contact vet. * Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards within the facility * Handle customer inquiries, provide information about pet care, and address concerns professionally * Oversee inventory of supplies and order as needed * Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or equipment to support kennel maintenance * Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling procedures * Monitor general health and behavior of dogs on site and coordinate veterinary care when necessary *Skills* * Pet First Aid * Previous experience working in a kennel environment or veterinary office. * Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners and visitors effectively * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, including lifting supplies or equipment up to 50 pounds * Strong organizational skills to manage daily operations and staff schedules * Compassionate attitude toward animals and pet owners * Leadership qualities to motivate staff and ensure team efficiency * Good communication skills for clear instructions and professional interactions * Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness, safety standards, and animal health records This position offers an opportunity to work in a rewarding environment dedicated to animal care.
