Tank Traders® is looking for a Welder to join our Research & Development team in La Salle, Manitoba! Our Research & Development Team is driving innovation, with several exciting opportunities on the go, we are rapidly expanding to meet the growing demands of the industry! Our ideal candidate will enjoy hands-on experimentation and working in a dynamic environment. In this role, you?ll partner with our Research & Development department to design and build propane industry?specific machinery and equipment. Our team is fabricating in house equipment for our production facilities, while also introducing new products to the market, including our Automated Propane Tank Dispenser! *What You?ll Be Doing:* * _Welding & Fabrication: _Bring custom machinery designs to life using your welding expertise. MIG, TIG, or pulse welding experience with Aluminum is considered a strong asset. * _Prototype Equipment Assembly:_ Assemble and test new tank processing equipment and production solutions across our facilities. * _Metalworking Skills:_ Bend, notch, punch, and straighten sheet metal, primarily aluminum and steel, using both manual and powered tools. * _Blueprint Reading:_ Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints, offering suggestions for improvements and design enhancements. * _Creative Solutions: _Be a hands-on problem-solver who contributes to the design and development process with practical feedback and innovative thinking. *Schedule:* * Day Shifts - starting at 7am or 8am * Monday - Friday * 8 hour days * Overtime as needed *What We?re Looking For:* * _Strong Attention to Detail_ - You take pride in producing clean, precise, and functional welds and fabrications. * _Adaptability_ - You enjoy variety, shifting priorities, and one-off builds that challenge your creativity. * _Team Player Attitude_ - You work well with others and are comfortable collaborating across departments, as well as providing mentorship to others. * _Certifications _- Additional CWB Tickets or Red Seal Welder Certification are considered a strong asset but not required. *What?s in it for You?* * _Make a Difference: _Work in an environment where your ideas and craftsmanship directly impact our operations and product innovation. * _Career Growth _& Stability_: _We provide support and opportunities for skill advancement and internal progression, while providing job stability. * _Collaborative Culture: _Open-door policy and a team-driven environment based on trust, innovation, and respect. * _Working Environment: _We are proud of our brand-new shop that provides a clean and comfortable environment with climate-control year-round, including heating and air conditioning. * _Competitive Compensation: _Starting at _$_55,000 annually.
