Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
  • Perform other duties related to personal care
  • Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients
  • Deliver messages, reports, requisitions and specimens between departments
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations
  • May work in a team with shared supervisory responsibilities
  • Take authorized protective action when necessary
