Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Maintain shift log of production and other data. Make adjustments necessary to ensure the smooth running of processes. Operate finishing machines to grind, drill, sand, bevel, decorate, wash or polish glass or glass products. Visually inspect products for quality. Set up or adjust automatic glass feeding, flowing and forming machines. Weigh, measure and check production samples to assess conformance to specifications. Examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut. Heat, anneal, temper or form float glass or glass products. Place sheet of glass on padded table or in jig and measure and mark glass. Program CNC machine tools. Glass cutting equipment and techniques: Temper glass. Screening questions: Are you authorized to work in Canada?. Are you available for shift or on-call work?.
