We welcome all applicants regardless of race, gender, orientation, sexual identity, economic class, ability, disability, age, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, or status.The position is based in Vancouver, BC; however, we are open to considering remote candidates located within Canada.WHAT YOU?LL BE DOINGPerform detailed structural design under the mentorship of the principal-in-charge.Act as project manager for medium to large-sized projects, throughout all design and construction phases.Be involved in ongoing communication and coordination with other design consultants, contractors, and suppliers.Share your advanced knowledge of codes and standards within the area of design responsibilities.Deliver project deliverables on time and on budget.Build positive relationships with clients and help promote our core values.Be creative and innovative in problem-solving.Act as a role model and technical mentor to other Engineers and BIM technicians.Participate in the team management.Work with a team that is passionate, focused, and dedicated in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Contribute to a fun and welcoming work environment.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLEWithin your first 12 months, you will:Be independently leading and managing projectsBuild strong working relationships with clients and project teamsBecome a trusted technical and collaborative leader within the officeContribute to mentoring and developing junior team membersHelp shape project delivery standards, technical discussions, and team cultureHave a visible impact on the growth and success of the companyWHAT YOU?LL NEED TO SUCCEEDA Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 7-10 years of local or international experience designing buildings in the residential, commercial, municipal, and institutional sectors;You must be a P.Eng. registered in BC or eligible for accreditation within 6 months of your start date;Ability to work autonomously in a team-oriented environment.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to use programs such as RFEM, S-Concrete, Sizer, or other similar structural analysis software.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.EXTRA AWESOMEWell-rounded knowledge and experience designing with timber, steel, and concrete is an asset.Understanding and experience with seismic analysis and design.Suitable experience in commercial, residential, and/or institutional projects.Master?s degree in structural engineering.Working knowledge of American codes and standards (PE is also advantageous).A BIT MORE INFORMATION ABOUT A- Location Vancouver, BC
