Good Dog has an immediate opening for a Dog Groomer in our Port Moody location. *This is not an entry level position, and 2+ years of professional grooming experience is a requirement.* The Dog Groomer is responsible for providing services as booked to grooming clients in a caring and compassionate fashion. *Start Date*: Immediately *Days: * Sun-Thur *Job Type*: Full-Time, Part-Time *Pay*: $18/hour *plus* commission on each dog groomed *Location*: Port Moody *We Offer*: * Diverse and fast-paced work environment * Flexible Schedule * Continuing education opportunities * Casual Environment * Fun and Engaging Team * Discounts on Grooming, Retail, Boarding and daycare services for your pets! *Responsibilities*: * Complete grooms of scheduled pets * Ensure you are adhering to the expectations of care and attention to detail * Continuously remain engaged and passionate in the line of work * Ensure the wellbeing of the dogs in our care * Ensure clients receive excellent customer service * Recommend Add On Services as needed * Develop strong relationships with clients * Maintain hygiene of grooming spaces and equipment *Requirements* * 2+ years of professional experience providing grooming services to pets * Animal CPR considered an asset * Certificate in dog grooming considered an asset * Proven ability to actively engage and lead in a team environment and compliance to protocols and procedures * Proven ability to behave with respect and compassion * Ability to build a good rapport with animals and have a friendly and patient nature * Possess a professional and upbeat attitude * Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds * Ability to read and speak English fluently *Application Process* Please submit your resume and portfolio (feel free to drop your grooming Instagram if you have one as well!) to let us know why you are the right fit for this role. _Good Dog is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
