New, easy-to-apply options are available for this role: chat with our recruiting assistant Ana at careers.cargill.com or text CargillJobs to 60196Location: Mitchell, OntarioJob Type: Full TimeShift Available: RotatingPay Rate: $22 CAD during probation period (90 days), $24 CAD after probationPrincipal Accountabilities: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Mill Operator works with other operators, supervisors and other personnelto ensure safe, effi cient operations, as well as striving to meet customer requirements all while keeping the plantin a clean and effi cient stateOperate and monitor using computerized and controlled systems associated with the production of feed;including grinders, oil handling, and paletizing equipmentEnsure accurate information of scale weights and transactions are recorded dailyLoad and receive incoming and outgoing trucks per plant requirementsCollect & process samples as requiredTroubleshoot minor problems as needed and perform maintenance tasks to fixMaintain a safe and sanitary atmosphere with a high regard for environmental impact of the operationAssist plant personnel as needed, and perform other duties as requested by the leadership teamUnderstanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulationsMaintaining a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaCargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years oldAbility to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling,and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodationMust be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise,etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipmentAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or diff erent shifts with advance noticePreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in production related workA high level of mechanical aptitudeCompetent computer skills, including Microsoft OfficeConsidered candidates will receive a phone call from a (204) area code.
