*Job Summary* We are seeking a *passionate and skilled Pet Groomer* to join our dedicated team. This position requires *independent grooming experience*?not as an assistant. You should be confident in performing all grooming services from start to finish, with a strong focus on quality, comfort, and client satisfaction. *Responsibilities* * Perform full-service grooming, including bathing, drying, brushing, dematting, nail trimming, ear cleaning, gland expression, and breed-standard styling. * Trim fur and hair according to breed standards or specific client requests. * Assess each pet?s health, skin, and coat condition during grooming; communicate any concerns to owners or the veterinary team. * Handle pets of all sizes gently and safely, ensuring comfort, safety, and a stress-free grooming experience. * Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary grooming area, including proper sterilization of tools and equipment after each use. * Manage grooming appointments efficiently to accommodate client schedules and walk-ins as needed. * Provide excellent customer service by building trust, communicating effectively, and tailoring grooming to client preferences. * Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment. *Skills* * Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients * Compassionate and gentle approach when handling animals of various sizes and temperaments * Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, such as lifting large or heavy pets or equipment * Attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming results * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patience and professionalism * Physical stamina and strength to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks *Qualifications* * *Independent grooming experience required* (not assistant-level). * Ability to groom dogs and cats of various breeds to professional standards. * Strong customer communication and time management skills. * Physically able to lift and handle larger pets when needed. * Reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about animal care. *Compensation* * *Salary or commission-based *pay is available, depending on experience and performance.
