Tasks: Conduct geological, geophysical, geochemical, hydrographic or oceanographic surveys, prospecting field trips, exploratory drilling, well logging or underground mine survey programs. Conduct or direct surveys or survey programs. Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing and record systems. Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections. Computer and technology knowledge: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. MS Office. Specialized equipment and systems: Airborne survey cameras, sensors and scanners. Field work location experience: Airborne. On land. Overseas. Technical experience: Mapping and surveying. Area of work experience: Data interpretation and evaluation. Field sampling and data acquisition. Quality assurance and control. Scientific data processing. Area of specialization: Geophysics. Personal suitability: Judgement. Reliability. Team player.
