Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Tasks: Administer evaluative tests. Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment. Assist health care professionals. Assist physicians in the assessment of patients. Develop information materials for patients. Examine the patient. Help medical examiner in charge. Help physical therapists. Maintain prescription records . Position patients for treatments by chiropractor or machine. Administer evaluative tests and procedures. Clean and maintain equipment. Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies. Order and purchase equipment. Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations. Maintain clinical and progress reports. Maintain supplies. Confer with other health professionals. Maintain inventory of equipment. Perform general clerical duties. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Process files and paperwork. Schedule and confirm appointments. Take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history. Manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments. Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients. Order supplies and equipment. Organize and maintain inventory. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding.
