Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Rural area. Manufacturing or production. Tasks: Prepare and submit reports. Establish work schedules. Train or arrange for training. Oversee safety of operations. Recommend personnel actions. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Set up machines and equipment. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Set up assembly line with materials and supplies required for production. Review requisition orders for accuracy. Prepare production and other reports. Maintain inventory of equipment. Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Check manufactured items for defects and conformance to specifications. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel. AutoCAD. Type of industry experience: Electrical and electronics products. Specialization or experience: Green economy sector. Area of specialization: Process design or development. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is not available.
