Position #: V47288 Expected Start Date: Open until Filled Union: HSAS Facility: Regina General Hospital City/Town: Regina Department: General Medical Nursing Unit - Medicine - 3E Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1Shift Information: Days Hours of Work: 8 hour shifts Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: NoSalary or Payband: $51.102 to $62.500 (5 step rangeJob Description:Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Travel Required: No Human Resources Exemption: No Experience- Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an assetEducation- Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCCLicenses- Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).- Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a PA; or- (May be asked to provide proof of meeting maintenance of certification)- Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.- Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or- Valid Class 5 driver's licenseMemberships- Canadian Association of Physician AssistantsCompetencies- Intermediate - Computer skills- Advanced - Analytical skills- Intermediate - Mobilizes people, inspires and leads by example- Advanced - Technical skills- Advanced - Communication skills- Advanced - Interpersonal skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language- Committed to delivering on patient ...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationRegina, SK
