Education: Bachelor's degree. Pharmacy (PharmD, BS, BSc, BPharm). Work setting: Hospital or clinical pharmacy. Tasks: Advise customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage. Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals. Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies. Check prescriptions for proper dosage. Maintain medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs. Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products . Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Security and safety: Immunization records. Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Personal suitability: Accurate. Client focus. Dependability.
