We are looking for an incredible REGISTERED EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATOR to join our team in Barrie, ON!!
The perfect candidate MUST:
*-Be registered with The College of ECE*
-Have their First Aid & CPR Level C
-Be passionate about nature, the environment
-Be reliable, hardworking and passionate about early education
-Have a VSC
-Have reliable transportation
The Art of Nature Childcare is inspired by world famous forest and wilderness schools and offers Simcoe County families excellence in Nature-Based education.
We are licensed by the ministry of education and take pride in our emergent curriculum focused on connecting children with nature, and learning outdoors as much as possible!
We are excited to be adding more members to our growing team and schools.
Candidates must be professional, patient, team players, positive influences, who have the desire, ability and interpersonal skills to work with children as well as their caregivers. Must possess a strong work ethic and be reliable, outgoing, knowledgeable and illustrate a gentle disposition toward working with young children.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress
- Maintain accurate records of each child's growth and development
- Ensure the health and safety of all children in the classroom
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions
*Requirements:*
*- Diploma in Early Childhood Education IS REQUIRED*
- Previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare setting
- Current First Aid and CPR training certificates as well as a valid criminal reference (vulnerable sector) check by the date of their employment.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong time management skills to effectively plan and organize daily activities
- Ability to provide special education support to children with diverse needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Leadership qualities to guide and inspire other staff members
