*Description* Balkwill Pharmacy is seeking a part-time pharmacist to join our team! There is no set start date for this position, and it will remain open until an ideal candidate is found. We are an independent pharmacy, located in Trochu, Alberta, a small town of about 1000 people with a large surrounding service area. We also service St. Mary's Continuing Care and attached lodge in Trochu. Majority of shifts will include working with the pharmacy manager, as well as 1-3 pharmacy assistants depending on the day. At minimum there is usually at least three workers in the dispensary between pharmacists and assistants. We will be looking for 2-3 shifts per week, but will increase as required due to staff absences (illness, holidays, etc.). The part time pharmacist's main role will include all aspects related to retail pharmacy and continuing care practice, as required, such as: * processing prescription orders * clinical verification of prescription orders and compliance packs * prescription packaging (mostly completed by assistants) * clinical pharmacy services (injections, prescription adaptations and renewals, medication reviews, etc.) * aiding with inventory management * ordering compounded medications from contracted compounding pharmacy *Requirements:* * Pharmacist registration with Alberta College of Pharmacy *The following are considered assets, but are NOT required:* * APA for prescribing for minor ailments and other clinical pharmacy services * Prac ID for ordering labs * Experience with Kroll pharmacy management software (especially Kroll Paperless Workflow) * Experience with providing travel consultations * Experience with AADL (incontinence and ostomy supplies, small bath aids, and mobility equipment) *Our pharmacy is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm, and we are closed on weekends and stat holidays.
