Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Prosthetic device manufacturing companies. Tasks: Fabricate prosthetic and orthotic appliances . Assemble or build prosthetic and orthotic appliances according to drawings, measurements and plaster casts. Repair and maintain fabrication and laboratory equipment. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Ability to distinguish between colours. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication.
