¿Parks Canada is looking for a Radio Communications Technologist/Technician to join our Radio Communications team, which maintains Parks Canada's VHF/UHF radio communications systems across National Parks in Canada-from the East Coast to the West Coast and up to the Arctic.The Radio Technologist's duties include providing hands-on expertise in testing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, programming, and maintaining the Agency's radio repeater systems, two-way radios (portable, mobile, and base stations), and overall communications infrastructure, including radio dispatch centers.Projects are staged out of the Calgary Parks Canada Radio Shop, which the technologist is expected to help maintain as part of their duties. Fieldwork takes place on-site in the Parks and typically includes vehicle radio/antenna installations, base station radio/antenna installations, and repeater site inspections, testing, and upgrades.
