Join our team as a Driver and Sign Installation Assistant! We are looking for an energetic DZ / AZ Driver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys challenges, and is a team player able to deliver merchandise to our clients.</p><p>We're a sign installation company seeking a skilled professional to operate a tractor with trailer and/or a large mobile crane, while also assisting in the installation of a variety of signage, including channel letters, sign boxes, foundations, large ground structures, and digital displays.</p><p><strong>T</strong><strong>he primary responsibilities and duties include; but are not limited to:</strong></p><p> </p><p>• Prioritize safety and hazard awareness at all times</p><p>• Comfortable with hand tools and possessing mechanical aptitude</p><p>• Basic knowledge of electrical components and safe handling practices</p><p>• Load and unload trailers before and after job completion</p><ul><li>Operate and drive both tractor trailer and straight trucks with a variety of trailer combinations to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short interurban routes</li><li>Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle such as condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo</li></ul><p>• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance</p><p>• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules</p><p>• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts</p><p>• Input "macros" into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process</p><p>• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures</p><p>• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions</p><p>• Collect and verify delivery instructions</p><p>• Report defects, accidents or violations</p><p>• Collaborating effectively with team members and leadership</p><p>• Undertaking any additional responsibilities or duties as assigned.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>R</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>qu</strong><strong>i</strong><strong>re</strong><strong>m</strong><strong>e</strong><strong>n</strong><strong>t</strong><strong>s / Qualifications: </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>A</strong><strong>cademic Training:</strong></p><p> </p><p>• High school diploma or GED.</p><p>• Trucking school diploma</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> Work Experience:</strong></p><p> </p><p>• Proven work experience as an DZ / AZ Driver</p><p>• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)</p><p>• Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Specific Competencies:</strong></p><p> </p><p>• Valid commercial driver's license and a clean driving record.</p><p>• Must be a safe driver, keep their attention on the road, and ensure that their cargo reaches its destination.</p><p- LocationOakville, ON
