Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Diagnostic audiology. Fluency disorders. Hospital/medical facility or clinic. Language disorders. Treatment centre. Articulation disorders. Hearing aids selection and orientation. Various locations. Electrical acoustic analysis of hearing aids. Relocation costs covered by employer. Voice disorders. Resonance disorders. Audiometric testing. Willing to relocate. Tasks: Conduct audiometric tests and examinations. Conduct speech-language tests and examinations. Develop new audiometric tests and examinations. Diagnose and evaluate speech, voice, resonance, language, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders. Follow up with patients to ensure assigned remedial programs are correctly followed and completed. Conduct research on speech and other communication disorders and on the development and design of diagnostic procedures and devices. Develop, plan and implement remedial programs to correct speech, voice, language, resonance, cognitive-linguistic and swallowing disorders. Establish group and personalized care plans working as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Provide advice and educational services to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders. Diagnose the degree and type of hearing impairment. Provide information to patients and families regarding the nature, extent, impact and implications of hearing loss and treatment. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Canadian Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists Certification. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Eligible for professional liability insurance. Adult Abuse Registry check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Responsibilities
Tasks
