They assess and address the unique needs of students, focusing on enhancing their ability to participate in school activities, such as learning, socializing, and self-care. They collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop customized intervention plans that promote students' independence and skill development. Through activities, adaptations, and interventions, they help students overcome barriers to learning and fully engage in their educational environment. An employee on a part-time contract can view all internal<p>postings for Term and Continuing positions and has the right to post into<p>vacancies to secure more consistent and/or guaranteed hours.<p>POSTING DETAILS <p><p> Position - Occupational Therapist<p> Team - Associated Professional<p> Start Date - September 2024<p> Hours - ONE day per week (preference - Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday)<p> Employment - Contract (2024 - 2025 school year)<p> Location(s) - Varied / To be determined<p><p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS <p><p> A Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy<p> Two to three years? experience including conducting/collaborating with parents and school and District staff; and providing indirect therapy.<p> Eligible for membership in the College of Occupational Therapists of B.C.<p> Possess a valid B.C. Driver?s License<p> Access to a reliable vehicle / means of transportation.<p> Strong interpersonal and consultation skills<p> Clear, accurate communication via written reports<p><p>For your application to be considered, all required documents must be included: <p><p> Resume and cover letter <p> A copy of your degree <p> A copy of the transcript (official or unofficial) for your program<p> Scanned copy of your valid BC Driver?s license <p> Clear driver?s abstract/history (can be obtained from ICBC) <p> Email addresses for a minimum of three references (ideally, supervisors from your most recent role)<p><p>PLEASE NOTE <p><p> The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $50,000 to $104,000, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.<p> In accordance with the Criminal Record Review Act, successful applicants will be required to consent to a Criminal Record Check prior to employment. <p> We thank you for your interest in the Langley School District; however, only those persons selected for interviews will be contacted.- LocationLangley, BC
