The Senior Marine Inspector's duties and responsibilities include the following:• Inspection of ships for regulatory compliance, seaworthiness, and protection of the marine environment, and issue inspection certificates. • Investigates a wide variety of accidents, pollution incidents, and alleged infractions of the Canada Shipping Act and Canada Labour Code. • Acts as project manager on multi-faceted audits/inspections of vessels covering nautical, marine engineering, and naval architecture. • Approves ship's plans prior to construction. • Audits ship safety systems, ship navigation, cargo handling and stowage procedures.- LocationVarious locationsCalgary, , ABEdmonton, , ABChurchill, , MBWinnipeg, , MBYellowknife, , NTIqaluit, , NUSaskatoon, , SKWhitehorse, , YT
