<h3>Job Description</h3><div>Job Description<div><p>We are looking for a part-time (2+ days/week-NO weekends) Ontario registered Optometrist to join our growing full-scope practice in beautiful Orillia ON. We are located right off highway 11. An easy opposite commute from the GTA and only 25 minutes north of Barrie ON.</p><p>Full tech-support provided: patient pre-testing, EMR, AR/AK, Eidon digital retinal imaging, OCT, automated (humphrey compatible) visual field testing, and a digital phoropter.</p><p>Our large Optical showroom is run by two full-time licensed Opticians and features an array of designer brands that sell very well. In-house lab edging.</p><p>We have a warm and friendly laid back work environment, with a very loyal patient base of 30+ years. NEW GRADS WELCOME.</p><p><strong>Optometrist Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Perform standard eye exams for patients</li><li>Check for evidence of disease, injury, or other problems impacting vision</li><li>Provide prescriptions for corrective lenses as needed</li><li>Listen to and address patient's questions and concerns</li><li>Prescribe medications when needed</li><li>Utilize all necessary equipment properly, ensuring it is in good working order</li><li>Record all tests, prescriptions, and treatments in the patient's chart</li></ul><p><strong>Optometrist Requirements and Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Doctor of Optometry (D.O.) required from an accredited institution</li><li>Registered to practice in the province of Ontario </li><li>New grads welcome but Minimum of two years experience as a practicing optometrist preferred </li><li>Solid working knowledge of all ophthalmic equipment needed to conduct examinations</li><li>Experience prescribing and fitting corrective lenses</li><li>History of excellent patient care</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul></div></div>
