Rocket Express 2000 Ltd. is seeking a Health & Safety Manager in Drayton Valley Alberta. This is a full-time position. This involves protecting people by making sure that risks in the workplace are properly controlled. You'll ensure employees comply with all aspects of health and safety laws and company programs, and that the workplace is not the cause of ill health, injury, or death. This position will maintain and operate the HS program. The job description is not limited to the following: * Working directly with team members carrying out workplace PPE and safe work observations * Providing training, educational support and coaching to existing and new employees * Ensuring workers are utilizing suitable protective equipment, such as eye protection, Hi-vis vest, appropriate types of gloves, footwear, and clothing. * Performing mock CVSA inspections / worker observations and completing detailed paperwork * Ability to travel to 4 terminals across Central Alberta * The goal of the health and Safety Manager is to work in a team atmosphere, providing knowledge and coaching. * Transport safety experience, law enforcement or Department of Transportation experience is an asset. Holding a Class 1 license is preferred. * Knowledge of Samsara GPS program preferred * Assisting in vehicle maintenance management * An excellent benefits plan is available to full time employees after 3 months.
