Responsibilities
Tasks

Design dental devices

Modify dental devices including full or partial dentures, orthodontic appliances, inlays, onlays, clasps and bands
-
Prepare plaster models and moulds

Train other dental technicians

Perform administrative functions for the dental laboratory

Mould wax over dentures set-up

Finish metal framework of dentures

Supervise students in training

Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays

Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
