Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Manufacture and assemble different prefabricated fibreglass elements. Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal. Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces. Schedule work. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Supervise other workers. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Estimate costs and materials. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Tight deadlines. Personal suitability: Client focus. Organized. Team player. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Does not require Canadian work experience.- LocationSurrey, BC
