*About the Opportunity*
Responsible for supporting the Manager by providing leadership, directing and managing staff in the daily operations and prioritization of Zone facility services, contributing to the implementation and maintenance of standards, policies and procedures, job analysis, work flow routines, and staffing needs. Plans, organizes and directs the Maintenance/operations department (for responsible sites) for the operation, maintenance and repair of the physical Plant, buildings and grounds, as well as associated hospital and kitchen equipment, to support the function of the facilities and to meet the needs of the patients, clients, and staff. Responsible to oversee and coordinate construction projects under $50,000; to participate in the tendering and awarding of service/renovation contracts and ensure proper implementation (i.e. standards maintained) and minimal interference with hospital staff and services.
*About You*
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
* Certified Journeyperson or post secondary education related to Maintenance and Operations
* 3 years progressive leadership experience in facilities management with at least 1 year experience in managing employees and resources required
* 3 years experience in a healthcare setting considered an asset
* Commitment to promoting a culture that supports safety, ethical practice, and organizational health.
* Sound knowledge of National Building Code, computerized maintenance management system and preventative maintenance programs
* Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

* Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
*Compensation and Benefits*
$40.15 - $50.19 Hourly
