Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Tasks: Check products for quality control. Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish. Perform ongoing machine adjustments. Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications. Finish surfaces of castings using screed or trowel. Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Standing for extended periods. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate.
