Job Description Permanent Part-TimePhysiotherapy, Connaigre Peninsula Health Centre, Harbour BretonDefinition of work: This is therapeutic work in the treatment of persons affected with physical disabilities as a result of illness, injury, or disabling conditions. This position receives direction from a Registered Physiotherapist and duties involve a significant amount of patient handling as treatment plans are implemented. Clinical training/supervision will be provided by regional Physiotherapy staff. Regional travel may be required. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centred care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.Required qualifications:* Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. * Graduation from a recognized Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Assistant Program approved by Central Health.* Demonstrated body mechanics and lifting techniques.* Consistent demonstration of Central Health's corporate values; Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence.* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.* A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.Hours of Work: 37.5 hours bi-weekly (Shift work may be required)Salary: CG-28 ($26.39-$29.22)Competition No.: P-2019000935-CPHCClosing Date: Open until filled Central Health is an equal opportunity employer.We thank all candidates however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.- LocationHarbour Breton, NL
