Are you looking for your next opportunity? At the Métis Financial Corporation of BC (MFCBC), we are looking to add an Admin Assistant - Women?s program, to our growing team and organization. This permanent full-time position is located at our head office in Kelowna, BC and will primarily be responsible for supporting Métis women in business as well as other office administration tasks.

MFCBC is a Métis owned lending institution which was established to assist with financing needs for start-ups, acquisitions and/or expansion of viable Métis majority owned and operated small businesses based throughout all British Columbia. Our needs-based programs have assisted over 500 Métis entrepreneurs and communities since being established in 2017.

*Responsibilities*
* The major responsibility of the Admin Assistant is to provide quality delivery and administration of the Métis Women Entrepreneurs (MWE) program
* Assess and assist with MWE client needs for training and workshops
* Provide small business lending (micro-loans) and grants to support qualified MWE loan customers
* Attends and/or participate in promotional activities, conferences and meetings
* Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate services and resources for MWE?s
* Provide business support to MWE?s
* Provide recommendations to Senior Management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the program
* Responsible for assisting the General Manager with the required reporting under contracts and contribution agreements, as well as preparation and submission of claim summaries
* Ensure the accuracy, integrity and credibility of functions, data and the like under the position?s control
* Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and documentation
* Performs other related duties as assigned
* Cross training to other positions is required

*Qualifications*
* A minimum of two years? work-related lending experience
* Post-secondary education or equivalent preferred
* Computer literacy on the Microsoft Office package is necessary
* Strong ability to multitask
* Friendly and positive attitude with strong organization, verbal, oral and written communication
* Ambitious and Intuitive
* Critical thinker
* Knowledge and understanding of Métis history and culture is an asset
