Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Volunteer coordination. Early intervention programming for at-risk youth. Work setting: Urban area. Community agency. Various locations. Community centre. Recreational or cultural centre. Cultural events. Children's program. Tasks: Prepare reports or case histories. Administrative and office activities. Perform administrative tasks. Implement life skills workshops. Assess client's relevant skill strengths and development needs. Develop, co-ordinate and implement the delivery of specific services within the community. Housekeeping activities. Food preparation. Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients. Maintain program statistics for purposes of evaluation and research. Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Accompany clients to appointments and social outings. Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. 3-4 people. 5-10 people. 11-15 people. 16-20 people.
