The Salvation Army Thrift Store National Recycling Operations (NRO) adheres to its core values of hope, service, dignity and stewardship. NRO supports The Salvation Army?s social and community services and programs through retail and recycling.
As a Retail District Manager you will provide engagement, guidance, supervision, support and oversight to a group of Store Managers and Store Teams within an assigned area. Working with the store management team and staff, and alongside a team of partnering departments within the organization ? the Retail District Manager is responsible for successfully implementing and maintaining organizational standards, priorities and strategies within the store operation, while building and motivating an effective store management team.
Our ideal candidate is a passionate and resourceful leader who is highly motivated to make an impact in our shared communities through the successful operation of their assigned Thrift Stores. Relevant experience for this role includes: a college diploma in business/retail or an equivalent combination of education and experience; 5-6 years in retail management across multiple locations; knowledge of store operations, fashion trends, product pricing, merchandising techniques and guest services; human resources management; budget planning, forecasting and review; proficiency in Retail POS, Payroll & Scheduling and Microsoft Office. The successful candidate will hold a valid Driver?s License and will be required to provide a driver?s abstract and a Criminal Record Check satisfactory to the employer.
