The creation of a provincial health authority was announced following recommendations from Health Accord NL.NL Health Services is responsible for delivering health and community services to more than 528,000 people living in Newfoundland and Labrador and employs over 21,000 people.NLHealthServices.caJob SummaryApplications are invited for Physiotherapy or Occupational Support Worker positions with NLHS-Central Zone for various sites/departments.Physiotherapy or Occupational Support Worker positions involve therapeutic work as directed by a Licensed Occupational Therapist and/or a Licensed Physiotherapist. Duties involve assisting with the delivery of client directed intervention plans. Clinical training/supervision will be provide.The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements. Regional travel will be required. Required qualifications:* Graduation from high school with a diploma recognized by the Newfoundland & Labrador Department of Education and Early Childhood Development. * Graduation from a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program approved by Central Health.* Demonstrated knowledge of body mechanics and lifting techniques.* Consistent demonstration of the core values of NL Health Services: Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (I CARE)* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.* A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.Salary: Nape HS - Dependent on position and locationCompetition number: P-2023000869-TBDCompetition closing date: Open Until Filled
