Job details
Crown Group of Hotels is currently seeking dynamic team members to join their team at the Holiday Inn Express Welland property.
1. Apply your knowledge on IHG way of clean, to clean bathtub, shower, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
2. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents.
3. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens and duvet covers with each full clean.
4. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, windows, shelves, lighting and televisions thoroughly.
5. Clean inside and outside microwaves, coffee makers and fridges, including surrounding counters and wall area.
6. Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash weighting up to 50lbs
7. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
8. Use and maintain assigned carts, caddies and vacuums, keeping all assigned items clean and organized.
9. Clean rooms, storage areas, and corridors outside of each room as allocated, achieving standards of cleanliness and presentation as per company policy.
10. Ensure guest supplies and promotional material in bedrooms and bathrooms are replenished, achieving the correct standards for the room type.
11. Report lost and found items following hotel procedures.
12. Understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturer?s instructions.
13. Use and clean equipment with care reporting any defects, damage or issues.
14. To work in an effective and timely manner ensuring consistent flow of the department.15. Carry out deep cleaning duties as allocated by department Manager.
16. Use linen and terry in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
17. To report all maintenance issues or damage in rooms inflicted by guests to the proper personnel.18. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
19. Assist in the fulfillment of guest requests
20. Provide stayover service as needed, meeting IHG brand standards.
21. Perform any other department related duties as assigned.
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Ability to communicate well with guests. Must be willing to ?pitch-in? and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment. Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 50lbs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.55 per hour
Expected hours: 20 ? 40 per week
