Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Conduct liquid penetrant inspection. Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects. Interpret and document liquid penetrant inspection. Prepare surface for liquid penetrant inspection. Use electromagnetic eddy current testing methods. Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment. Maintain test result reports. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Nondestructive Testing Certificate. Testing equipment and methods: Liquid penetrant. Magnetic particle. Eddy current. Visual inspection. Nondestructive testing. Area of work experience: Aircraft maintenance and overhaul. Aircraft/aerospace manufacturing. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours.
