In addition, there are 100 km of roadways, 26 km of sidewalk and 36 km of pathways to maintain.The asset management plan is executed by a best in class management team and staff.Position OverviewThe Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) oversees the Finance Department, assisting the Chief Financial Officer in ensuring financial objectives, statutory requirements, and financial reporting requirements are met. The DCFO has a significant role in the preparation of year end working papers, journal entries and annual financial statements in compliance with Canadian public sector accounting standards (PSAB) and Canadian generally accepted account principles (GAAP). This position also acts as the main contact for auditors during annual audits, as well as identifies, researches and implements new processes to improve efficiency. The DCFO also interacts and works with the public to resolve complex issues.This is an exempt supervisory position. The DCFO is an effective leader who has the ability to develop cohesive teams that can achieve exceptional results, has the ability to build positive internal and external relations, and has excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. QualificationsApplicants must have a minimum of 5 years? experience in a senior finance capacity in local government or the private sector, as well as a minimum of 5 years? experiencemanaging and supervising staff.
