Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, trade-in allowances, warranties and delivery dates. Oversee the preparation of sales and orders. Prepare sales or other contracts. Promote sales to existing clients. Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements. Identify and solicit potential clients. Assess client's needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services. Deliver sales presentations. Conduct sales transactions. Prepare and administer sales contracts. Conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce. Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs. Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support. Reach to clients after sale or signed contracts to provide ongoing support. Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment. Provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services. Resolve product and service related problems. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Provide customer service. Sell merchandise. Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters. Assign sales workers to duties. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers. Organize and maintain inventory.
