SummaryThe Procurement Organization manages all aspects of sourcing & procurement within Bell. The Procurement Department's mission is to create value through its role of providing best-in-class sourcing solutions while improving Bell's EBITDA through cost reductions. We are seeking a candidate to join Bell Canada's Procurement Organization as Category Manager, reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager of Wireline Core. The portfolio includes contracts for a range of products and services mainly supporting Wireline Core (Wireline access, Metro and Voice networks, IP Network & Fibe-BRS).Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of commercial contracts and vendor relationshipsLead negotiation of agreements on behalf of Bell, working with internal stakeholders (business unit clients, Legal, Security, etc.) to set optimal terms and conditions for the provision of products and servicesLead business initiatives that maximize supplier relationships by obtaining the best value while minimizing riskConduct detailed assessments of clients' needs, including re-examination of baseline assumptions or predetermined solutions with the intent to raise the level of awareness for Procurement within the companySupport and/or lead sourcing initiatives utilizing Bell systems in the distribution and management of RFI, RFQ and RFP documentsDrive total cost of ownership reduction through joint process improvements with suppliers and re-negotiate contracts directlyManage, perform quality control, and generate reports on spend data and other key indicators as requiredRecommend, develop, coordinate and implement best practice processes and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the work performed by ProcurementCritical QualificationsUniversity degree or College diploma and equivalent work experienceSuperior communication, written and verbal with ability to interact with senior levels of the organizationA minimum of 2 years procurement experienceExcellent negotiation experienceStrong quantitative and analytical skills, statistics knowledge and experience requiredAbility to collaborate and persuade others by working with various department sponsors, governance stakeholders, and other Procurement colleaguesExcellent prioritizationResults orientation; resilience in the face of complexityDemonstrated and tenacious problem solving skillsPC proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Bilingualism required: In the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across CanadaPreferred QualificationsUniversity degree in business administration or supply chain managementVaried Telco experience and business knowledgePMAC / SCMAO Accreditation or current enrolment in PMAC program is a strong assetUnderstanding and experience in sourcing and analysis tools (Ivalua, SAP, etc.) or other similar systems#EmployeeReferralProgramAdequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
