YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD Invites applications for the position of: Coordinating Manager: Planning & Operations Position Summary: As a key member of the Senior Leadership team, the Coordinating Manager: Planning & Operations leads the strategic planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of five service units: Accommodation Planning and Property, Student Transportation Services of York Region, Admissions Enrolment and International Students, Office Services, and Community Planning and Partnerships. This role ensures compliance with relevant legislation and Board policies while upholding the Board's Mission, Vision, Core Values, and Strategic Commitments. Major Responsibilities: Lead and motivate a diverse team to meet the objectives of Accommodation Planning and Property, Student Transportation Services, Admissions Enrolment and International Students, Office Services, and Community Planning and Partnerships.Direct the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the aforementioned service units, including the EDC by-law, Facility Partnership, and Community Hubs initiative.Manage the annual operating and capital budget for the service units, ensuring adherence to Board-approved guidelines.Prepare and present reports to the Board and its committees, supporting key initiatives and objectives.Oversee the CEC warehouse, mailroom, print room, courier services, and main reception areas for cost-effective and efficient service delivery.Ensure the efficient, reliable, and safe transportation of eligible students in line with Board policies.Manage student admissions in compliance with the Education Act, Human Rights, and Immigration and Citizenship Canada regulations.Develop and monitor enrolment projections, long-term accommodation plans, capital planning, and land use planning, including required data submissions to the Ministry of Education.Provide strategic leadership for the Education Development Charge By-law and Reserve Account, ensuring legal compliance.Identify surplus space and develop Facility Partnerships and Community Hubs to enhance external partnerships and shared use agreements.Oversee the administration of leases, licenses, and shared use agreements to support educational programs, property management, and community partnerships, including real property acquisition and disposition.Chair the Community Partnerships Review Committee, Long Term Plan Steering Committee, and Co-Chair the Pupil Accommodation Review Committee. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelors Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.5+ years experience in a Senior Management position.Proven ability to manage multiple strategic and operational projects simultaneously.Demonstrated ability to deal with highly sensitive information and act as a liaison between other internal and external stakeholders.Knowledge of relevant legislation.
