Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Load and unload goods. Sort packages for delivery. Follow directions and read map. Use maps and other trip planning aids. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Bag, box or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment or delivery. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Provincial/territorial. Service experience: Delivery. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Personal suitability: Judgement. Reliability. Punctuality. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you available for the advertised start date?.
