The Senior Actuarial Analyst will directly report to the Manager, Actuarial Services and Product Development. The role primarily involves modeling individual insurance products, supporting ongoing profitability evaluations, and contributing to the development of individual and group insurance products and investment products at Assumption Life. The candidate will also engage in special projects requiring creativity, analytical strength, and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop insurance products to meet profitability and competitiveness targets, including preparing experience, setting assumptions, modeling products and conduct sensitivity testing.Participate in the testing of systems related to product development, including improvement of the testing tool and actuarial support to testing team.Conduct profitability studies, including periodic monitoring of assumptions and product risks and writing reports.Calculation of taxable amounts on life insurance policies following a total or partial surrender, maturity, transfer of ownership or policy loan.Participate in strategic projects such as modification of broker commissions, new regulations.QualificationsUniversity degree in actuarial or mathematical science.3 or more years of actuarial experience.Four or more preliminary exams of the Society of Actuaries (SOA).Proficiency in Excel, AXIS or other actuarial software.Strong analytical and synthesis skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple requests from different sectors.If this challenge matches your career aspirations and you would like to play a key role in the exciting development of our company, please apply no later than June 14, 2024.Other Information• The opportunity to be part of a dynamic and high-performing team that adheres to the following values: leadership, collaboration, trust and commitment.• Training and development opportunities.• A comprehensive benefits package including a competitive salary, bonus, pension and benefits.• A dynamic location in downtown Moncton.• One paid day of volunteer work.• A gym located in the building.
