*Position Overview:*
The Strategic Engagement Manager reports to the CEO and will own a partnership and outreach strategy, amplifying the mandate of InBC to generate and sustain quality connections to impact-aligned funds, ventures and ecosystem partners, and ultimately work to identify quality and diverse investment opportunities.
We are looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of, and a network in, the entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem in B.C, and across Canada, and who is ready to hit the ground running.
This is a "strategic and roll up your sleeves" position combining high-level strategic thinking with hands-on, practical execution.
The ideal candidate will work closely with the CEO, investment team and marketing, to solve expected and unexpected challenges, and lead with values such as curiosity, inclusion, and empathy, to support entrepreneurs and B.C. companies, contributing to the overall strength of the ecosystem in B.C.

* Support the positioning of InBC in the marketplace as a strong partner and respected investor through the identification, development and management of strategic partnerships to drive strong deal flow.
* Proactively and collaboratively develop and implement a strategic engagement plan aligned with the goals of the organizational 3-year strategic plan (2023-2026).
* Proactively identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities, including the assessment of inbound opportunities, aligned with our objectives.
* Manage and track a network of partners across the provincial ecosystem including government agencies such as BDC, PacifiCan and Innovate BC, private sector funding partners and entrepreneurial support organizations (including impact-focused Angel investors, venture funds, accelerators and incubators) to support the growth and success of more B.C. based companies and funds.
