Our commitment to quality is unwavering, as is our commitment to our customers.</p><p><b></b></p><p><b>The reason for this position</b><b></b></p><ul><li>Respect and enforce laboratory procedures and methods.</li><li>Ensure compliance with government regulations and HACCP/SQF standards.</li></ul><p><b></b></p><p><b>The</b><b>s main relationships</b></p><ul><li>The incumbent reports to the Director of Operations.</li><li>He works in close collaboration with quality technicians.</li></ul><p><b></b></p><p><b>Description of functions</b></p><p><b>QUALITY LABORATORY</b></p><ul><li>Guarantee compliance with control plans, monitoring plans, analysis methods and good laboratory practices.</li><li>Ensure compliance with regulations and internal requirements of control and surveillance plans applied by laboratory technicians.</li><li>Develop the skills and autonomy of laboratory technicians.</li><li>Plan and implement changes in the laboratory and in the factory (changes in organization, control plans, working methods, etc.)</li><li>Ensure continuous improvement of the laboratory</li><li>Manage contracts with external laboratories and suppliers of services, equipment and consumables.</li><li>Manage the laboratory budget (labor, equipment and consumables) while keeping cost optimization as an objective</li><li>Provide 24/7 factory assistance in the event of a quality incident or request for support from the laboratory team</li></ul><p><b>FACTORY QUALITY</b></p><ul><li>Contribute to the search for causes and corrective actions, in partnership with other members of the quality and industrial team.</li><li>Contribute to the promotion of quality among production, maintenance and technical teams through the implementation and monitoring of relevant indicators.</li><li>Participate in quality improvement plans as support to the production teams and the quality director.</li><li>Participate in weekly quality department meetings</li></ul><p><b>COMPLAINS AND DEVIATIONS</b></p><ul><li>Carry out investigations following customer complaints (internet, dairy counter, businesses and institutions) and initiate requests for corrective action when necessary.</li><li>Determine the actions to be taken following laboratory deviations</li><li>Participate as laboratory quality control referent in SQF and Canadian agency audits</li><li>Manage product detentions and releases (logistics and/or production instructions, product evaluation, counter analyses).</li></ul><p><b></b></p><p><b>Job Requirements</b></p><ul><li>DEC in food processing or equivalent experience.</li><li>1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.</li><li>Good communicator.</li><li>Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.</li></ul><p><b></b></p><p><b>Advantages:</b></p><ul><li>Working within a renowned and respected company in the agri-food sector for over 100 years</li><li>Collaborative and professional work environment</li><li>Competitive remuneration </li><li>Teleworking according to company policy</li><li>Unlimited Riviera products that can be consumed on site</li><li>Comprehensive benefits program</li><li>RRSP and Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP)</li><li>5 days of flexible leave per year</li><li>2 additional public holidays during the holiday season</li><li>Physical activity encouragement program ($150 per year)</li><li>On-site parking and electric charging stations</li></ul><p> </p><p>If you are passionate about food innovation, and want to contribute to the continued growth of Maison Riviera, we would be delighted to have you on our team.
