<p>Temporary Full Time Jr/Sr High Math Teacher <p>Matthew Halton High School <p>Matthew Halton High School located in Pincher Creek, Alberta is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta! <p>We believe in a team approach to learning that creates a safe and caring, student centered environment where everyone is encouraged to achieve to their highest capabilities. If you are a teacher who believes in creating a supportive learning environment for students and who loves to collaborate and innovate, we are looking for you to join our team.<p>We are seeking a teacher to teach Jr/Sr High School Math. The contract will commence on August 26, 2024 and end on January 17, 2025.<p>We are seeking a teacher who has;<p><p> Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula;<p> A strong understanding of outcomes based assessment practices;<p> Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;<p> A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment;<p> A strong belief in parent involvement and communication including regular communication with home beyond the use report cards;<p> Strong organizational and classroom management skills; <p> An in depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments; <p> A passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations Metis and Inuit students;<p> An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and/or curricular needs within the classroom setting;<p> Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same;<p><p>Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. <p>Matthew Halton High School, located in Pincher Creek, Alberta is a grades 7-12 school with approximately 275 students.
