As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our team.
*Responsibilities:*
* Demonstrate leadership and conflict resolution skills, including coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the kitchens, maintaining an active presence on the floor and guiding teams to deliver service excellence.
* Collaborate with other culinary leaders to oversee the entirety of the culinary and stewarding departments.
* Assume overall responsibility for the culinary and stewarding departments in the absence of the Executive Chef.
* Manage departmental budget through effective purchasing, inventory management, pricing, and labor cost control.
* Drive revenue and profit through menu design, strategies, practices, and promotions.
* Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen, adhering to industry-leading food safety protocols.
* Source products and build relationships with local vendors.
* Coordinate with Front of House (FOH) leaders to ensure effective catering operations.
* Train and lead the culinary team, ensuring they have the skills, training, and tools to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
* Collaborate with FOH leaders to ensure service colleagues are knowledgeable about the menu and can speak with clients comfortably.
* Take initiative to ensure client satisfaction metrics are met or exceeded.
* Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new colleagues.
* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and values.
*Experience and Skills:*
* 5+ years in banqueting/restaurant leadership.
* Food Safe and Red Seal certification.
* Thrive in fast-paced environments, strong team player.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and food cost calculation.
* Strong interpersonal, problem-solving skills.
* Catering experience an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
