Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Supervise other graphic designers or graphic arts technicians. Estimate time to complete graphic designs and illustrations. Adapt existing illustrations. Produce 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations. Work in a multidisciplinary environment. Co-ordinate sub-contracting. Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements and content of communications materials. Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication. Establish guidelines for illustrators or photographers. Prepare sketches, layouts and graphic elements. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Computer and technology knowledge: MS Office. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
